$2,000 reward being offered in homicide case


Authorities investigating this month’s murder of a Davenport woman are seeking the public’s help in finding out who killed her.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Department and Crime Stoppers are each offering cash rewards for information in the death of Angela Marie Hennes, 41, of Davenport, officials said Saturday.

Scott County Sheriff Dennis Conard said that Crime Stoppers is offering $1,000 and the sheriff’s department also has put up another $1,000 for information that would lead to the arrest of the person or persons involved in the woman’s murder.

Hennes’ body was found in a west Scott County farm field at about 4 p.m. Jan. 13.

Gerald Boldt, who discovered the body, estimated the last time he checked his property was Jan. 10. According to obituary information, she died Jan. 11. The farmer described the woman’s body as lying face down in a fetal position near a patch of burned grass.

Neither a cause of death nor the condition of the woman’s body has been released by investigators.
