Possible 2012 presidential candidate Rick Santorum will be in Davenport next week, Scott County Republican chairwoman Judy Davidson said Monday.
Santorum, a former Republican senator from Pennsylvania, has been in the Quad-Cities once already this election cycle.
Davidson said Santorum will be at Scott County Republican headquarters,
311 W. Kimberly Road, Davenport, at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 14.
The event will kick off the GOP’s early voting efforts.
Santorum and other Republicans are coming to the state to help legislative, statewide and federal candidates in the month before the Nov. 2 elections.
Santorum has said he’s focused for now on the 2010 elections. But, like others, he’s been making stops in states that have a prominent role in the presidential nominating process.
