A Rock Island man was found dead at his home Saturday, the day after he was in a car accident in Moline.
Michael Nolan, 54, of Rock Island, was supposed to pick up his wife at a Chicago airport Saturday, but when he didn't arrive, she called a neighbor to check on him. The neighbor called authorities.
Nolan had been in a car accident Friday in Moline.
His car was totaled, police said, but Nolan walked away from the accident complaining only of minor pain from where the car's airbag hit him.
Firefighters arrived Saturday at Nolan home on 30th Street in Rock Island after the neighbor found lights on but received no response. Rock Island Firefighters and police founded Nolan dead inside.
Brian Gustafson, Rock Island County coroner, said an autopsy is scheduled for today to determine whether Nolan died from injuries sustained in the accident.
