Q. Being born and raised in the Q-C, the building of the new I-74 bridge is a momentous time! I'm wondering if it is being videotaped from somewhere (the former Abbey or Kone buildings come to mind) so at the completion there could be a time lapsed video from start to finish of the whole thing? – Sara
A. Danielle Mulholland, transportation engineer manager, Iowa Department of Transportation, had responded to a similar question in an Oct. 19, 2017, Ask the Times column. She said "Yes, we have been taking time-lapse photos of the bridge construction using the webcam we have on the project website. The current time-lapse is available at the same link I provided in my email from Oct. 12, 2017. The screen shot below (see at qctimes.com/askthetimes) shows the blue sliding bar at the bottom of the webcam photos on the website where this can be viewed interactively."

Follow up file
Several readers asked follow up questions about the former ALDI grocery store, 2825 Rockingham Road, Davenport. The store closed on Dec. 31, 2011. At the time the store closed, the reason given by Heather Moore, vice president of the Dwight, Illinois, division, was mainly the age of the store. The Rockingham Road location was nearly 20 years old at the time it closed. Moore said in an Oct. 25, 2011, news story, "ALDI did an assessment of the marketing and felt that the newer stores with brighter lighting, and more open layouts would better serve the Quad-Cities area."
Several readers asking follow up questions also were concerned about Anna's access to a grocery store because she does not drive. Hy-Vee is located at 3019 Rockingham Road in Davenport. We contacted them and they do offer grocery delivery on Wednesdays and Fridays.
