A woman accused of setting fire to a garage in Cordova was sentenced Monday.
Devan A. Brown, 27, of Cordova, was sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison on one count of arson. The sentence was handed down by Rock Island County Judge Norma Kauzlarich. She must also serve two years of mandatory supervised release and pay $10,000 in restitution.
Prosecutors allege Brown knowingly damaged a garage in the 700 block of Main Avenue, Cordova, in July, according to court records.
Brown pleaded guilty to the arson count in October, court records state. As part of a plea deal, the sentence was capped at five years. Arson is a Class 2 felony, subject to a sentence of three to seven years.
