An East Moline teen was in juvenile custody Monday after being accused of stabbing his brother.
East Moline Police Department officers responded about 2:30 a.m. Monday to a report of a fight in a home in the 300 block of 15th Avenue, according to a department news release.
The quarrel involved two brothers, and the elder, 28, of East Moline, was stabbed by the younger, 17, according to police. He was sent to the hospital with a wound to the abdomen that was not considered life threatening.
The 17-year-old fled in his brother's vehicle, the department said. He lost control in the 1500 block of Kennedy Drive and the vehicle collided with a vacant house. The teen tried to run away but was captured. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery, resisting a peace officer and theft of a motor vehicle.
The teen is being held in juvenile custody while the case is reviewed for possible criminal charges.
