Moline and East Moline police are investigating the death of a 26-year-old man.

Police responded to a report of an injured person in the 5400 block of 4th Avenue just before 11 a.m. Sunday.

On arrival, Moline police officers discovered a 26-year-old man had been seriously injured. He was transported by Moline Fire Department to Genesis Hospital, Silvis.

The man was later transported by MedForce to University Hospitals, Iowa City, where he died from his injuries.

Moline police was advised it was a domestic-related incident that began in 1500 block 3rd Street, East Moline and ended in the 5400 block 4th Avenue, Moline, when the male fell from a moving vehicle resulting in his death.

The driver of the vehicle, a 46-year-old-woman, has been interviewed by police. She has not been charged at this time.

The Moline and East Moline Police Department are jointly investigating the incident with the assistance of the Rock Island County State’s Attorney’s Office.
