Describe a classroom learning experience you’ll remember forever: I will always remember the discussions we had about racism, inequality, and other social issues in college Introduction to Literature.

The Arts

DAVIS HUNT, son of Matthew and Michelle Hunt of Columbus Junction, Iowa, plans to major in architecture at Iowa State University, Ames.

Describe a classroom learning experience you’ll remember forever: When I was in 7th grade I had my first photography class with Mrs. Noble. I already had an interest in photography but she helped me to see it from a new angle and really kick started my hobby of photography that I will carry for the rest of my life.

Humanities

HELENNA HILLARD, daughter of Bethany Hillard and Tim Christianer of Muscatine, plans to major in business at St. Ambrose University, Davenport.

Leadership

RANDYN CARTER, daughter of Tanya Bishop and Jason Carter of Muscatine, plans to major in actuarial science at Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids.

• Teacher Aide in Algebra I class

Math/The Sciences

DAYNE WADDEN, son of Greg and Carmen Wadden of Letts, Iowa, plans to major in business management at the University of Iowa, Iowa City.

• 10 college courses completed while in high school

Describe a classroom learning experience you’ll remember forever: Taking college level work in high school will always stick with me. It showed me the way adults are treated and what it means to be an adult. I thoroughly enjoyed being treated as an adult. It was refreshing when constantly taking high school courses.

Vocational Education

DUSTIN CRUMLY, son of Angie Crumly and Kyle Crumly of Fruitland, plans to major in agriculture at Muscatine Community College.

• Iowa FFA Degree

• Earning a Silver for Iowa Ag Mechanics

• Earning a Silver for FFA Job Interview

Describe a classroom learning experience you’ll remember forever: I have helped build our school's greenhouse from the ground up. I will never forget the hard work and time it took to build.

Young Journalist

JACOB MARTINEZ, son of John and Andrea Martinez of Fruitland, plans to major in aerospace engineering at Iowa State University, Ames.

Top achievements:

• 3.6 GPA

• Taking all but one social studies course at LM

• Earning a good grade in Calculus after hard work and many hours spent outside of school studying

Describe a classroom learning experience you’ll remember forever: Producing Falcon Daily News (FDN) is a great experience. Everyone in the class has grown close and there is never a dull moment.
