Western Illinois University-Quad-Cities Disability Resource Center will offer a free screening of the documentary “Cinemability” at 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 16, in Riverfront Hall Room 103, on the WIU-QC campus, 3300 River Drive, Moline.

According to cinemability.com, the movie examines portrayals of disability in film and TV and their impact on society by interviewing filmmakers, studio executives, film historians and celebrities. The film is produced and directed by Gold, who has muscular dystrophy and has used a wheelchair since the age of 7.
Audrey Adamson, WIU-QC assistant director of Student Services, Career Development and Disability Resources, says the film is captioned and that an interpreter will be present for the question-and-answer session.
