The names of the four people who died in a Christmas Day house fire in Blue Grass have been released.

The victims are Larry Loose Sr., 71, Rose Loose, 71, and their sons, Steven Loose, 36, and Michael Loose, 35.

Michael Loose was pulled from the blaze on Salem Street, but was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.

The fire began at 12:34 a.m. Christmas Day with Blue Grass Fire, Buffalo Fire, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Buffalo Police Department and the Blue Grass Police Department responding to the scene.

On Monday, investigators worked through debris from the charred remains of the home. The fire remains under investigation by the state fire marshal.

It came days after a fatal blaze at Five Seasons mobile home park, 5100 Fairmount St., Davenport, that ultimately killed five people. Kelsey Clain, 23, and Jayden Smead, 5, and Carson Smead, 2, died at the scene. Two other children, Isabella Smead, 9 months, and Skylar Smead, 4, died later at University Hospitals, Iowa City.

The cause of that fire remains undetermined. Fire officials have said there were no working smoke alarms in the mobile home.
