Bellson Dedication
Family, friends memorialize jazz great Francine Bellson, widow of the late jazz drummer Louie Bellson, reads the inscription on his headstone Thursday, May 20, 2010, as it was dedicated at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Bellson, considered one of the great jazz drummers of all time, died Feb. 14, 2009, of pneumonia-related complications after many years of fighting Parkinson’s disease.
