DAVENPORT — Brent Letterman, 60, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Genesis Medical Center-East Rusholme Street, Davenport. Services in celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 15, at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. Visitation will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
Brent was born in 1957 in Milwakee, Wisconsin, to Robert and Rose Marie Letterman. Brent enjoyed being involved with Special Olympics and displayed excellent sportsmanship. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed basketball, football and baseball and collected sports memorabilia. He was known for his sports tricks. Brent also played the clarinet and collected Reader’s Digest books. Brent loved family gatherings and looked forward to every party they had together throughout the year.
Survivors include his father, Robert; his brothers, Bruce and Blake (Mary) Letterman; sisters, Lisa (Doug Schricker) Letterman and Celia Letterman; niece, Daniele (Britt) Hall; great-nephew Thomas Hall; great-niece Maddi Hall; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
