SAN MARCOS, TX - Brian A. Golick, age 65, long-time resident of San Marcos, Texas, passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Janice (nee Butler); brother, Jim (Janet) of Lombard, Illinois; nephew, Nathan; and sister, Diane Micocci of Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Brian grew up and worked at the family business, Golick's Meat and Fish Market in Davenport, Iowa, before joining the U.S. Marine Corps from 1978-1982. He received an A.A. degree with honors in Electronics Engineering Technology from Hamilton Technical Institute in 1986 and worked for Best Power in Necedah, Wisconsin, from 1986-1997 before moving to San Marcos. Brian and Jan owned and operated ZapShots Photography in San Marcos. Until recently, Brian also worked for TransDev Bus Co. and enjoyed interacting with the Texas State U students.
Brian is remembered for his strong Christian faith, loving heart, patriotic and generous spirit, great sense of humor, and being an excellent cook.
Memorial service on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Lost Pines Bible Church.
