GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Carol Karr Doyle, 92, of Glendale, Arizona, formerly of Moline, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 7, 2018, with family by her side.
Carol was born December 12, 1925, to Louis and Blanche Karr of Rock Island. She married John T. Doyle on December 27, 1948. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1974.
Carol was an active member of the First Congregational Church, Meals on Wheels, Bethany Home and the United Way. She was a long standing member of the Quad-City Area Realtor Association and after owning Doyle Nelson & Co. with Virginia Nelson, she finished her 35-year career with good friends at Ruhl and Ruhl Realtors in Moline. She enjoyed the theater, the symphony, traveling and spending time with her friends and family especially at her home on Cape Cod, MA.
Carol loved her family and is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Thornton (Craig) and son, Jake Doyle (Lori), as well as her five grandchildren, Amy Konsewicz (Eddie), Jennifer Walker, Kate Catanzano (Robin), Megan Cummins and Zachary Doyle. She also has three wonderful great-grandchildren. Marli Walker and Brody and Max Konsewicz. In addition, she is survived by nieces and nephews, Barbara Braaten (Sheldon), Pam McFarlin (Guy), Deb Quigg (Tom), Tom Doyle (Melinda), Mike Doyle (Keri) and Jim Doyle (Donna).
There will be a celebration of her life at Short Hills Country Club, Moline, on March 17, 2018, from 1-4 p.m.
