MILAN, Ill. - Cindy K. Savery, 56, of Milan, formerly of Davenport, passed away Friday, April 16, 2010, at Trinity Rock Island. Following cremation, a memorial service will held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory Davenport. There will be a 1 hour visitation prior to the service. Cindy was born October 16, 1953, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Clarence and Bertha (Huntleya) Savery. She had been employed at the Rock Island Arsenal for many years retiring in 2003 as a management analyst.
Cindy was an avid reader loving all kinds of books, she was a long time member of her card club, and most recently had worked with her high school class reunion committee on an upcoming reunion. Cindy enjoyed shopping and then sharing her gifts with others. Her greatest love, who will miss her greatly, is her devoted companion, Tinker Bell.
Survivors include a sister, Kathy (Dennis) Barron, Coal Valley, Ill; niece, Jammie Lynn Barron, Moline; nephew, Kevin Adair, Scarsdale, N.Y.; and true friends, Deb and Gary Howe, Milan.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Lance Wilson Griffith.
