Jimmy, affectionately known to his friends as "Ditto," was born September 16, 1959, in Davenport. He was employed by Per Mar Security for 28 years, and especially enjoyed the 18 years he was assigned as the courier for McGladrey & Pullen, and the many special friends he made there.

Jimmy enjoyed boating on the Mississippi River with his friends aboard Tempt Us. He was a 26-year member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, spending many hours on patrol and hosting the hospitality room at conferences, but he was best known for his organization of the Auxiliary's Boater's Breakfasts at Sunset Harbor.

Jimmy loved to decorate the home he shared with his partner of 31 years, and did so with flair for every holiday and season, but he most enjoyed Christmas, when he really went all out. He was a gracious host and loved to entertain, even when he ended before the party did. Jimmy touched many people in many different ways. He had a way of making his friends feel special. He was genuine and you always knew where you stood with him. But mostly, he wanted everyone to have a great time and just to be together.

Survivors include, partner William "Bill" Boom, Davenport, and his beloved puppy, Winston; and sisters, Julie Rada, Phoenix Ariz., and Romie Anderson, Davenport. He will be missed by his many friends, but most by best friends, Gretchen Goettig, Davenport, and Bruce Kenady, Davenport. Pallbearers include Gretchen Goettig, Bruce Kenady, Scott Smith, Todd Kester, Brian Carey and Dan Fox.

Jimmy was preceded is death by his mother, Sandra Coffman.
