OMAHA, Neb. — Jonathon "J Paul" Schrock (April 3, 1979–June 15, 2014), son of Patty Schrock of New Boston, Ill., and Steve and Cindy (stepmother) Schrock of Rock Island, was born April 3, 1979, in Muscatine and tragically passed away at home in his sleep June 15, 2014.
Jonathon grew up in Viola, Ill., and was active in sports for the duration of his life. He graduated from Sherrard High School in 1997. He attended Black Hawk College, Monmouth College and studied in Lyon, France, as an International Exchange Student. Jonathon was employed by Republic National Distributing Company out of Omaha. He married the love of his life, Brooke, on Nov. 10, 2010, and was devoted to his three beautiful children, Ashton, Brynn and Greyson. His smile was intoxicating and the only friends he didn’t have were the ones he hadn’t met yet.
In addition to his wife, children and parents, he is survived by siblings, Tonia and Kevin Woodward of Sherrard, Ill., Tiffany and Brian Shivers of Viola, and Jeff Schrock of Sherrard; grandparents, Joe and Margie Schrock of Aledo, Ill., and Leo and Arlene Toby of New Boston; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation and celebration of life is 4-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 19, all at the West Center Chapel of Heafey Hoffmann Dworak Cutler Mortuaries in Omaha. Private family funeral and graveside service will be on Friday morning. An additional celebration of life will take place in the Quad-Cities; arrangements to be determined.
