ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Linda Jean Picht Myers, 54, passed away in Anchorage on Tuesday, July 15, 2014.
Born May 19, 1960, in Davenport, to James and Joan Picht, she attended Davenport schools and later graduated from Davenport West High School in 1978. She then attended and graduated from Simpson College, Indianola, Iowa, and then Iliff School of Theology, Denver. Linda Jean served her entire career as an ordained minister for the United Methodist Church in Iowa, Texas and Alaska.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald R. P. Myers; their two daughters, Rachel and Rebekah, Anchorage; her father, James L. Picht; and her brother, David A. Picht, both of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan H. (Beck) Picht. Services were 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Chugiak United Methodist Church, Chugiak, Alaska.
