DAVENPORT — Todd Wittwer Lowe, 63, of Davenport, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, with his family by his side at Genesis Medical Center-East Rusholme Street, Davenport. Private services will be held at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly and Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. In lieu of expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the family for a fund in Todd’s name.
Todd was born Oct. 22, 1952, in Davenport, to Donald and Anita Lowe. He graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1971. On Oct. 5, 1974, Todd was united in marriage to Mary Hutton at Trinity Lutheran Church, Davenport.
Todd worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation for over 36 years, the last five years as a road inspector.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Quad-City Parrott Society and had been active with Special Olympics as a volunteer and board member. Being active with his grandchildren and family trips to Wisconsin were special for him.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary; mother, Anita; daughter, Melissa (Mark) Hurtado, Davenport; son, James (Jessica) Lowe, Davenport; grandchildren, Noah Hurtado, Kenny Douglas, Jessica Rodgers and Kelly Lowe; and a brother, John (Marie) Lowe, Bettendorf; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lowe, in 2010.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses in the ICU at Genesis East for their help, consideration and support over the past few weeks.
