Sexton Ford is bringing Ford Motor Co.’s Drive 4 UR School program to the Sherrard, Ill., School District in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for the Sherrard Booster Club. For every person who takes the wheel and test drives a new Ford vehicle at Sherrard High School on Oct. 5, the company will donate $20 to the booster club.
The event will be from 3:30-7:30 p.m. before the Sherrard vs. Orion varsity football game and will feature multiple vehicles. Since the start of Ford’s Drive 4 UR School program in 2007, more than $11 million in donations have been generated for high schools nationwide. Participants must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test drive per household. All test drives will take place on a pre-determined route and last 7-10 minutes.
