The Moline Police Traffic Division is investigating an accident that left two people injured in a motorcycle-pedestrian crash early Tuesday night.

Police say Brian Lavery of Moline was driving his 2005 Suzuki motorcycle northbound at a high rate of speed in the 1900 block of 29th Street about 6:30 p.m. when he collided with Kimberly Doerr of Moline, a runner who had started to cross the street at an angle.

Lavery was taken by air ambulance to a hospital in Peoria, and Doerr was transported by air ambulance to a hospital in Iowa City.

Moline Police Detective Scott Williams did not know Lavery or Doerr's conditions Wednesday.
