Author and U.S. Army civilian Jason Tanamor has written a new children's book, "I Heart Superhero Kid," a story between good and bad, told in rhyming verse involving a hero, his arch enemy, talking cats and a girl with a crush.

Tanamor is a contract specialist at the Rock Island Arsenal. He got his inspiration from the soldiers he assists daily.

The book is a family affair, with Tanamor's son Ryan McFate providing the illustrations.

"I Heart Superhero Kid" is available at Amazon in paperback for $15 and digitally for $2.99.
