Seth Rollins, whose real name is Colby Lopez, of Davenport is the new World Heavyweight Champion in the WWE after cashing in his Money in the Bank case during WrestleMania 31.
Rollins, 28, a graduate of Davenport West High School who runs The Black & The Brave Wrestling Academy in Moline, lost his match earlier Sunday night against Randy Orton before returning later in the night to join the main event match against champion Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.
Lesnar and Reigns bloodied each other during their match before Rollins stepped in to make it a three-way bout.
Rollins put his signature move, the curb stomp, on Lesnar and attempted to pin him, but Reigns intervened and speared Lesnar. Rollins then curb stomped Reigns, his former partner in The Shield, and pinned him to win the title.
Wrestlemania 31 drew a record crowd of 76,976 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., according to the WWE.
