So, let me get this straight. The editorial board of the Quad-City Times excoriates the legislative body of the state of Illinois relentlessly for allowing the state to amass a deficit in the $100 billion dollar range. And rightfully so.
Then like the proverbial politician who speaks out of both sides of his mouth, you endorse an avowed socialist for president of the United States. Maybe you were unaware of the fact that this country is $19 trillion dollars in debt. You condemn an entrenched system in Illinois that fueled the state debt. Yet the editorial board criticized presidential candidate Ted Cruz for daring to try to shake things up on the national level where that system is just as entrenched.
Maybe in the editorial board room those two points of view seem reasonable. To me it sniffs of hypocrisy and bias.
