Mr. Romney, I want to thank you for visiting LeClaire Manufacturing. I’m excited that you will get to see firsthand what my grandfather, Robert “Pops” Zimmerman, built with a lot of hard work, guts and determination. My grandfather was an extraordinary man who knew no fear. As a World War II vet, a father, a widower, a grandfather and business owner, “Pops,” as we called him, was the epitome of a hardworking American. He was a role model to my entire family, and I think it is quite appropriate that your rally will be held in a place full of hardworking Americans that have the same work ethic and mindset that Pops instilled in the company years ago. It is truly amazing what blood, sweat and tears have built down there along the Mississippi River, and I am excited that you get to experience what is the result of the hardworking Americans you’re fighting to protect.
Good luck in the race for the presidency. I wish I was able to make it home to be part of the rally. You have my vote in Missouri!
