Democrats claim they want "border security" but are unwilling to allocate any money for physical barriers. What is their idea of "border security?"
They support sanctuary cities and catch and release policies for even violent criminals. They expanded healthcare and other entitlements to illegal aliens at the cost of our citizens and legal immigrants. They have openly called for the abolition of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, which if abolished would leave us with no enforcement of immigration laws at all.
Furthermore, they have encouraged human trafficking, particularly of children, by insisting that they should pass freely across our borders rather than being returned to their true parents abroad.
Currently, the policy of porous borders works to the advantage of Democrats since congressional representation and redistricting is based upon total population, legal or illegal, rather than "citizens of voting age population."
When Iowa lost a congressional seat in the last redistricting, it lost that seat to more populous states who became more populous due to illegal immigration in California and New York. Citizens of California have nearly twice the number of representatives per citizen than citizens in Iowa. This policy violates the principal of one person-one vote. Of course, our Democrat Attorney General would never consider defending Iowa's right to equal representation.
Americans must hold Democrats accountable and demand that they fund physical border barriers, cooperate with federal immigration authorities, stop expanding entitlements to illegals and allocate congressional districts based upon citizens in each district.
