Iowa’s three-day waiting period for abortion was upheld by Polk County Judge Jeffrey Farrell. Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) immediately filed a notice of appeal in the Iowa Supreme Court, according to The Des Moines Register.

The new law would require a ban on most abortions after 20-weeks. Most abortions are done before that.

Judge Farrell wrote in his ruling “The evidence at trial focused on the hardships women face when dealing with an unwanted pregnancy, but the public’s interest in potential life is an interest that cannot be denied under the law. Both of these interests are important."

A pre-born baby is not potential life, or a potential person, but a living person. When will the courts admit that human life begins at fertilization? Basic biology teaches when sperm and egg unite, there is new DNA, a new human being, a new person with a new genetic code.

The defendants in this case are Gov. Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Board of Medicine. These defendants should not allow Planned Parenthood to get by with their lies in court.

Judges must finally admit and rule accordingly, pre-born babies conceived by human parents are human beings entitled to equal protection under the law at all stages of development.

Abortion must once again be outlawed as it was before the U.S. Supreme Court denied protection to the unborn. No just law or court ruling allows parents to murder their children born or unborn.
