Putin's Russia attacked our 2016 election. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson tells us that there is nothing we can do to prevent a recurrence. While Russia's interference online may be a given, elections can be protected with paper backup ballots. This would most certainly slow down official results of any election, but that would be a small price to pay. Preventing doubt about the outcome of an election cannot be overstated.

Since we have a president who will not admit to any interference by Putin's Russia in our last election, we expect our Iowa senior senator to put country before party and carry the load. Besides, who knows which party the Russians will target the next time around.

Election safety is important. Please contact U.S. Sen. Grassley's office and urge him to give election safety the priority it deserves.
