Q: My wife and I purchased a home over 40 years ago. The original deed is titled as John Smith and Sally Smith. This defaults to tenants in common in Georgia. Sally is my wife of over 50 years. We are now considering changing the title to John Smith and Sally Smith, joint tenants with right of survivorship.

These questions are posed to Pat Miletich and the other participants in Saturday’s Freedom Picnic in Bettendorf. Miletich acknowledges that some have the need to shelter in place to avoid contracting COVID-19, which has been deadly to over a quarter of a million people. He also states (in a May 10th article) "those that are strong and healthy, our rights have to be observed."

Mr. Trowbridge: I hope you are having a great day! I read your letter (April 28) with interest. You make it sound very patriotic to act dumb. Your attack on Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, while legally correct, seems devoid of any real human empathy for the situation we currently find ourselves in. The governor is trying his best to help Illinois residents weather the storm with the tools available.

The biggest change in the '60s was the launch of the AFL, which brought more high-powered offensive attacks to professional football in a style of play that still resonates today. The AFL aggressively challenged the NFL by signing several of the top college players and targeting NFL stars behind the leadership of Al Davis, who was the Raiders coach and then commissioner before the merger was announced. The AFL also cleared the way for more black players to enter the league by mining historically black colleges for talent that the NFL had long overlooked.
