The Hawkeyes’ junior post player earned the honor by averaging 30.5 points, 16 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in Iowa’s two Big Ten victories last week.

Gustafson scored 36 points on 14-of-19 shooting and collected 17 rebounds during an overtime victory at Michigan State on Thursday and followed that Sunday with a 25-point, 15-rebound performance against Minnesota when she scored all but five of her points in the second half.

The Port Wing, Wisconsin native collected the 48th and 49th double-doubles of her career last week, passing the previous record for a Hawkeye basketball player — male or female — set by Kevin Kunnert from 1971-73.
