IOWA CITY – Addressing backcourt needs in particular, Iowa women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder found a lot to like about the four-player 2018 recruiting class the Hawkeyes signed on Wednesday.
"We spread thing around pretty well, signing players at the two, three, four and five positions so this is a balanced class as far as positions go," Bluder said. "The guards are an important part of this group. We needed to add some players there, and we were able to get that done."
Iowa signed one in-state player, 6-foot-1 forward Logan Cook of Iowa City West, the daughter of former Hawkeye football all-American Marv Cook.
The Hawkeyes also collected signatures from 6-0 guard Kate Martin of Edwardsville, Illinois, 5-10 guard Tomi Taiwo of Carmel, Indiana, and 6-3 Monika Czinano of Watertown, Minnesota.
