STORYLINES

• Iowa continued to struggle defensively in a 98-84 loss to Nebraska on Saturday, allowing the Cornhuskers to shoot 57.7 percent from the field and 57.9 percent from 3-point range. The Hawkeyes were led by Tyler Cook and Jordan Bohannon with 24 points apiece.

• Iowa’s Fran McCaffery will take another shot at the 400th victory of his career. McCaffery currently is 399-290, 148-113 during his eight years at Iowa.

• Minnesota lost six of its last seven games with the only win in that span coming in overtime on the road at Penn State. Jordan Murphy leads the Big Ten in rebounding at 11.7 per game, but the Golden Gophers currently are playing without Reggie Lynch, who led the Big Ten in blocked shots last season.
