Washington Wizards guard Chasson Randle loses the ball as Guangzhou Long-Lions forward Marreese Speights defends during the second half of an exhibition basketball game Friday in Washington.

It looks as if Rock Island’s Chasson Randle will have to try to make it back to the NBA via the G League this season as the 2011 Rock Island graduate was waived by the Washington Wizards on Saturday.

The team also announced the release of forward Lavoy Allen as well as guards Chris Chiozza, Tiwian Kendley along with Randle. The four waived players will move on to the Capital City Go-Go. Randle could sign with another NBA team if one was to call.

On Friday night during the Wizards' 140-111 win over the Guangzhou Long-Lions, Randle played 21 minutes and scored 10 points (4-of-7 shooting and 3-of-5 from 3), grabbed three rebounds and had two assists.

Randle played in two of the team's other four preseason games — getting a total of 17 minutes with six points, five assists and a rebound.

The trio of Chiozza, Kendley and Randle signed Exhibit 10 contracts and each can receive up to a $50,000 bonus if they sign and play at least 60 days with the Go-Go.
