CODY INCE: First-team all-state selection on offense and honorable mention on defense as a senior. … Four-year letterwinner on both sides of the ball, helping team reach the third round o Wisconsin playoffs as a junior and senior. … Recorded 65 solo tackles and 36 assists as a senior with 21 tackles for a loss, four sacks, four forced fumbles and one recovered fumble. … Recovered a fumble for a touchdown as a junior, when he had 40 solo tackles and 72 assists. … As a sophomore, collected 23 solo stops and 64 assists. … Had 32 tackles as a freshman. … Four-year letterwinner in baseball and lettered three years in basketball.
JEFF JENKINS: Named a first-team all-state selection by the Champaign News-Gazette as a senior as part of a Prairie Ridge High School team which went 28-0 in winning back-to-back Illinois Class 6A state championships. … Anchored an offensive line which averaged 4.9 yards per rush over the past three seasons. … Four-year letterwinner as an offensive and defensive lineman. … Finished his senior year with 39 tackles, including eight tackles for a loss, four sacks and one interception. … Counted six sacks among 38 tackles as a junior. … Two-year letterwinner in track, where he competed in the shot put.
JACK PLUMB: Four-year letterwinner as a tight end, but will shift to the line at the collegiate level. … Earned honorable mention all-state and first-team all-conference honors as a senior at Bay Port High School. … Helped his high school teams to a combined 41-6 record and four consecutive state playoff appearances. … Recorded five receptions for 85 yards and two touchdowns as a senior after catching 10 passes for 200 yards and five scores during his junior season. … Four-year letterwinner in basketball and two-time letterman in track.

I was in the weight room when his mom, dad, sister walked in. Things seemed to mesh pretty good they came down a couple of times. Jack Plumb’s dad (John Plumb) is the son of Ted Plumb, an offensive coordinator and receivers coach for the Super Bowl Bears. You can do the association there, good football pedigree. It resonated. Our message resonated with him.’’
