Scott Mullen, executive director of the i wireless Center, recently confirmed the Steamwheelers won't take the field in his arena this spring.

The Quad-Cities won't be part of Arena Football One, a league intended to take the place of the bankrupt Arena Football League and the now disbanded arenafootball2. The league, which has yet to announce a schedule, will consist of franchises from both former indoor leagues.

At least three ex-Q-C players have signed with AF1 teams. J.J. Raterink and Adam Tadisch have signed to play with the Chicago Rush. Jesse Schmidt has signed with the Iowa Barnstormers.
