It was deja vu at Tuesday's Three Rivers Conference cross country meet in Prophetstown as the reigning team and individual champions scored title repeats. In the girls' meet, Sherrard repeated as team champions, with Orion junior Olivia Thomsen doing likewise as individual champion. On the boys' side, both Riverdale and its senior standout Tommy Murray scored back-to-back TRAC titles.

In 2021, the Sherrard High School girls' cross country team overcame injuries to capture the Three Rivers Conference team title. The Tigers are in the same boat as they look to defend their crown, with two of their top runners sidelined for Tuesday's TRAC meet at Prophet Hills Golf Course in Prophetstown.
