Ben Buresh had 27 points and seven rebounds as Class 1A third-ranked Annawan won its seventh straight Tuesday over Wethersfield 59-55. The Braves are the top seed in this weekend's Lincoln Trail Conference tournament.

Luke Empen scored 20 points and Braden Hoyer poured in 19 as Northeast blitzed Bellevue 77-32 Tuesday. Winners of five straight, the Rebels are shooting better than 51 percent from the field (fifth best in Class 2A).

3. Wapello (15-1, LW: 3)

The Indians extended their win streak to eight with a 26-point rout of Pekin and a 20-point victory over Mediapolis. Trenton Massner is averaging 21.4 points per game while shooting 49 percent (40 of 82) from the arc.

4. Mercer County (15-4, LW: 4)

Quinton and Rashaun King had 25 points apiece as the Golden Eagles upended Ridgewood last Friday. The Golden Eagles followed with four players in double figures in a 68-43 rout of United on Tuesday.

5. Camanche (11-5, LW: 5)

Despite another monster game from Dev Patel — 23 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals — Camanche fell to state-ranked Cascade 65-58 on Tuesday. The Indians are fourth in the state with 140 3-point makes.
