1. Pleasant Valley (12-0, LW: 2)

Ranked fourth in Iowa Class 5A, the Spartans have 11 wins by double figures. The most impressive was a 53-40 win over Rock Island last Saturday at the IHMVCU Shootout. One of three unbeatens left in 5A, PV is allowing the fewest points per game in the state at 29.9 per game.

2. Rock Island (12-6, LW: 1)

The Rocks have hit a rough patch against top-notch competition. After a winless trip to Washington, D.C., Rock Island struggled to get past United Township and fell to PV in the marquee game of the Shootout. Rock Island looks to extend its Big Six win streak to 26 tonight on the road.

3. North Scott (11-2, LW: 3)

Since coming back from a concussion, sophomore post Grace Boffeli has averaged 17.7 points and 12 rebounds per game. The Lancers, who have won six straight, are leading the MAC in 3-point shooting (34.4 percent). Dating back to last season, North Scott has won 22 of its last 24 games.

4. Assumption (9-4, LW: NR)

The Knights have surged into sole possession of third place in the MAC behind a seven-game win streak. Coach Katelyn McNamara's team has collected road wins against Bettendorf and Muscatine in the last week. Guards and twin sisters Bailey and Carlye Brown lead the Knights in scoring.

5. Bettendorf (10-3, LW: 4)

Coach Brian Tritt's team struggled out of the holiday break with a season-low 33 points in a loss to Assumption but followed with a win in the final seconds over Moline and a road victory against Davenport North. After tonight, the Bulldogs have only two regular-season home games left.
