Mother Nature wreaked havoc on the athletic schedule for the first time this winter Thursday night.

All the events in the Mississippi Athletic Conference and Western Big Six were postponed because of freezing conditions expected to produce ice on the roads.

The Bettendorf and Assumption wrestling dual has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 24. 

Clinton and North Scott will make up its boys basketball game Tuesday in Eldridge. The Central at Bettendorf girls basketball game will be played next Thursday. 

The wrestling triangular involving Burlington, North Scott and Davenport North at North was called off. North and North Scott will wrestle in Eldridge on Thursday, Jan. 25, along with Pleasant Valley. 

The double dual between Clinton, Davenport Central and Davenport West in Clinton has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 31. 

Muscatine's swim dual at Bettendorf has been delayed until Tuesday. West will swim at Clinton on Thursday, Jan. 25, while Central will host PV on Monday.

In the Western Big Six, all three girls basketball games were called off. Moline will travel to Quincy on Tuesday, Jan. 23; Rock Island will play at Galesburg on Monday, Jan. 29; and Alleman heads to United Township next Tuesday.

The wrestling triangular at Alleman with Sherrard and Knoxville was postponed.

Black Hawk College called off its women's and men's basketball games for Thursday against Kishwaukee College. A rescheduled date has not been determined.
