Harkey's, restaurant and bar, opens in Orion
Harkey's restaurant and bar is now open in Orion. The new restaurant and bar is located in the former The O Kitchen & Tap, 306 10th Avenue in Orion.
Shawn Harkey is the owner of Harkey's in Orion and is his second restaurant. Harkey has also owned Benny's Pizza in Milan since 2008.
Harkey's restaurant and bar have appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, and the popular Benny's Pizzas. Pizza can be ordered 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Click here to view menu.

Operation hours at the Orion location are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday. Grill and pizza is open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Closed Sunday (for now).
Benny's Pizza can be ordered 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

Aledo Auto and Farm looking for new owner
Mark and Lee Ann Baldwin, owners of Aledo Auto & Farm, announced they are retiring on Facebook. The store is not closing. The Baldwins are looking for a buyer, but if they don't find a buyer, they will look for a manager and the business will continue to serve the Aledo community.
The store has been owned and operated by the Baldwin's since 1999 and located at 116 NW Second Ave. in Aledo.
"The time has come for the Baldwins to retire. After 27 years of service to our community, we are ready to do some traveling and spend more time with our family," the post read.
"We are seeking a local individual or couple to purchase our business. Someone wishing for an opportunity to own their own business, serve their community and reap the benefits of a successful, long term turnkey business. Aledo Auto and Farm Supply was started by Glen Bennett in the early 1980's. We purchased the business in 1999 and have worked diligently to keep his legacy alive and growing. Our loyal customers have made it possible for us to do just that and we are incredibly grateful to each and every one of you. Curious Cargo closing after 49 years

Geneseo's longstanding gift and decor shop in downtown Geneseo is closing after 49 years in business. The gift shop is located at 104 N. State Street.
Mary Lee Koehn, owner of Curious Cargo, is retiring and announced the going out of business sale on Facebook Monday.
"Thank you! For a great 49 years of memories, friendship and support," the post read.
The gift shop is having a retirement sale with discount prices that increase everyday on all items in the store through Saturday, Aug. 1.
Curious Cargo is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Closed on Sundays. .
