Greyhound Lounge, new bar, opens in downtown Davenport
Greyhound Lounge is a cozy new bar that caters drinkers and non-drinkers in downtown Davenport. The new lounge is located at 310 N. Main Street in the former Endless Brews and next to Me & Billy restaurant.
Jack Lehmkuhl is the owner and bartender of the unique and new cozy Greyhound Lounge.
"Greyhound Lounge is seeking to capture what people loved about the old Endless Brews (fantastic bartenders, craft beer, and a bottle shop), while adding a cozier atmosphere, varied and more comfortable seating, more affordable options, curated wine selection, a very small liquor selection, and to welcome non-drinkers and drinkers equally," he said in an email.
Greyhound Lounge is a new bar that caters drinkers and non-drinkers in downtown Davenport. Shown is the unique and cozy look inside the new social bar located at 310 N. Main Street in the former Endless Brews and next to Me & Billy restaurant.
"Because customers value affordability more than ever, we're offering a broader range of options that we hope will make our ‘luxury bar’ a cheap option for any group."
Highlights of the new lounge include high-quality draft beer, lots of potted plants, no TVs except for the game consoles, plenty of sofas, video games consoles, and an arcade cabinet to fill a void left by Analog closing last year.
"I'm a brewer who also installs and cleans draft systems for a living. So we're certainly going to be sticklers for cleanliness and fresh beer."
"Like many people, I've cut back on drinking the past few years and have been very much enjoying non-alcoholic alternatives. We're on track to have about 30-40 cool, affordable non-alcoholic options — with the hope that non-drinkers and ‘drink-lessers’ feel this bar is built specifically for them, instead of an afterthought."
Operation hours are 4-10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 4-11 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday, and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.
