Willy's Wine & Spirits is now open in Bettendorf. Willy's opened on Thursday, May 1, and is located at 5287 Competition Drive in Bettendorf near the TBK Bett Plex. The wine and spirts store has 5,000 square feet of wine, craft beer, premium spirits and Delta 9.

Fibre & Stem opens in Moline

There's a new arts and crafts store in the Quad-Cities. Fibre & Stem opened their doors with a grand opening on April 5. The store is located at 821 18th Ave. in Moline. 

Fibre & Stem is a fiber arts emporium that stocks small-batch hand-dyed yarn/fiber, notions and crocheted garments and accessories, as well as offering classes.

Operation hours are noon-6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, closed Sunday-Wednesday.

Schaab's Street Eats food truck is on a roll

Schaab's Street Eats made its debut on Thursday, May 1, at Jimmie O's Saloon in Davenport for their bike night. The new food truck's menu includes a build your own concept starting with base of baked potato, mac and cheese or french fries, followed by protein, toppings and sauces. Six Clems Micro Bakery, farm stand, grand opening

Six Clems Micro Bakery is opening their new farm stand from 9 a.m. to dusk (vendors present from 9 a.m.-noon) on May 10 at 9105 New Liberty Road in Maysville, Iowa.

There will be fresh sourdough bread and bakery treats. Local vendors will also be present, with amazing goods including candles, tallow skincare, magnesium products, maple syrup, local raw honey, plant starts, and handcrafted goods.

The farm stand accepts cash and Venmo for easy transactions.

Joni's Kitchen Porch Store opens

Joni's Kitchen Porch Store held a grand opening on Saturday, May 3 and will be open on Sunday, May 4 unless sold out. The store is located at 902 18th St. in Viola, on the porch of owner and operator Joni Caldwell's home.

"I am super excited to announce the official opening of my Joni's Kitchen Porch Store," Caldwell said.

Joni's Kitchen Porch Store has fresh-baked sourdough breads, pretzels, cinnamon rolls and other goodies — crafted with love and wild yeast. It’s all self-serve on the honor system, and just a few steps from the kitchen. There will be an "open" flag set out when Joni's Kitchen is open, Caldwell posted on Facebook. The page will also be updated for when the store is open.

Donut Delite now closed on Mondays

Donut Delite announced April 25 on Facebook they will be closed on Mondays. The donut shop is located at 3606 Avenue of the Cities in Moline. Donut Delight is known for buttermilk bars, maple donuts and other old-fashioned treats.

"This change comes as we adjust our schedule to better support our hardworking baking team. With one team member facing a serious health issue and others stepping up day after day, we’ve decided to give our baking crew a well-earned break on Sundays— which means the shop will be closed on Mondays moving forward," the post read.

Hibachi Fire, located at 480 19th St. in East Moline, announced on Facebook they will be changing their hours as they do more events and catering this year. UnityPoint Health - Trinity ribbon cutting

UnityPoint Health – Trinity will host a ribbon cutting to celebrate the expansion of the Trinity Cancer Center on Wednesday, May 7, at 4:30 p.m. The facility is located at 600 John Deere Road in Moline. 

The expansion adds three private bays, a new infusion registration and waiting area, additional exam rooms, two consultation rooms and new nurses stations, along with making other enhancements. 

Pasadena Villa Outpatient - Quad Cities ribbon cutting

Pasadena Villa Outpatient – Quad Cities will host a ribbon cutting and open house on Thursday, May 8, at 4 p.m. The open house will be held from 4-6 p.m. They are located at 5405 Utica Ridge Road, Suite 206, in Davenport.
