City of Aledo to hold ribbon-cutting
The City of Aledo will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Phase 1 of the Sponsler Manor Fourth Addition Subdivision at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 900 NE Seventh Ave. in Aledo.
The event will feature a public ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks from City of Aledo officials. The general public is welcome to attend.
The City of Aledo has completed Phase 1 of the Sponsler Manor 4th Addition, the next phase of growth for a subdivision that first took shape on Aledo's north side in the 1970s. Phase 1 delivers newly constructed roads and infrastructure serving Lots 1 through 12, which are now available for sale as part of the city's efforts to expand housing availability.
To encourage new home construction, the City Council has approved a 50% Lot Incentive Program: qualified buyers pay just 50% of the lot price at closing — $25,000 for premium lakefront lots (listed at $50,000) or $20,000 for standard lots (listed at $40,000) — with the remaining balance structured as a promissory note the City will forgive once construction milestones are met, including completion of a new single-family home within 24 months of closing.
