The new ice cream shop serves hard-served, made-in-Iowa ice cream in 12 flavors, along with sundaes, ice cream nachos, and floats with indoor seating available.

Two Sisters Restaurant in Milan reopens as Flip’s Pancake House
Two Sisters Restaurant in Milan is officially Flip’s Pancake House. The restaurant reopened on Wednesday.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Sept. 22, the restaurant announced the reopening.
"Thank you so much for your patience while we’ve been getting everything ready. We can’t wait to welcome back all of our Two Sisters friends, familiar faces, and the entire Milan community as Flip’s!" the post read.
After 15 years in Milan, Two Sisters Restaurant closed Sunday, Sept. 13, to transform into Flip's Pancake House under the same ownership. The new restaurant has a fresh new look and a new menu.
Flip's Pancake House in Milan is located at 522 First St. W. The restaurant's operating hours are 6 a.m.-3 p.m.

Blackhawk Bank & Trust announce plans for new full-service branch in West Davenport
Blackhawk Bank & Trust announced an agreement to acquire the former bank branch property at 3325 West Kimberly Road in Davenport.
Located adjacent to Kimberly Commons, the location will serve as the bank’s new full-service branch—marking its first location in Davenport west of Elmore Avenue.
Expected to open in late 2026 or early 2027, the expansion strengthens the Milan-based bank’s commitment to Scott County and the broader Quad Cities region.
"This location is a natural next step and reflects our continued investment in the Quad Cities and our commitment to remaining a strong, independent community bank for generations to come," said W. Gerard Huiskamp, Executive Chairman.
President & CEO Eric Huiskamp Mutka added, "We’re excited to bring full-service banking to west Davenport. This location will make banking more convenient for our existing customers while creating new opportunities to serve individuals, families and businesses throughout the area.

Rise Up Coffee & Ice Cream has officially expanded, opening its second location at 124 N. Main St. in Port Byron—inside the former Port Byron State Bank building.
The expansion comes thanks to the strong support and loyal customer base built at their original Erie shop at 613 12th St.
