Medicaid changes are coming, and Quad Cities organizations are working together to help residents and the organizations that serve them prepare.
Since June, Stay Covered, Stay Healthy QC has brought together community agencies and government partners to develop practical tools, shared resources and coordinated information to help the Quad Cities navigate what’s ahead. What began as a collaboration between United Way Quad Cities, the Quad Cities Health Initiative and Community Health Care Inc. has grown to include more than two dozen agencies across the region.
United Way Quad Cities is supporting the coalition as part of its role as a community uniter and its commitment to advancing access to health care across the Quad Cities. Together, coalition partners are developing shared messaging and practical tools to help organizations guide Medicaid beneficiaries through upcoming changes and connect individuals and families with the information and resources they need.
On Friday, October 9, from noon to 1 p.m., Stay Covered, Stay Healthy QC will officially launch its new website and introduce resources and upcoming training opportunities designed to help the community prepare.
The free webinar will give community partners a first look at the new website, which will provide resources for community agencies and health care providers, along with a dedicated section where individuals and families can find information and resources to help them understand the changes and maintain access to benefits.
The webinar is designed primarily for agencies, health care providers, elected officials and other community partners who work with or serve Medicaid beneficiaries. But anyone who supports individuals and families in the community is encouraged to learn more about the resources available.
