D'Lua Fuision Cuisine and Bar announce new chapter to restaurant
D'Lua Fuision Cuisine & Bar announced on Facebook on Tuesday, June 24, they have a new chapter in their culinary journey at the 18th St. location in Bettendorf.
"After eight unforgettable years in America, our dream has become a reality. What started as “The Fusion of Mexico City” has found its home right here in the Quad Cities!," the restaurant said in the Facebook post.. "We’re thrilled to announce the next chapter of our culinary journey: a bold and flavorful fusion of Italian and Japanese traditions brought to life with the passion and spice of Mexico. Introducing D’Lua Pasta & Sushi, an exciting new experience from D’Lua Fusion Cuisine and Bar."
D'Lua has five restaurants in all. D'Lua Fusion Cuisine and Bar located at 5185 18th St. in Bettendorf is the one that will change.

Delicias Catrachas LLC ribbon cutting
Delicias Catrachas LLC hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate their grand opening on Friday, June 27. The restaurant is located at 1509 N. Harrison St. in Davenport.
Delicias Catrachas is a restaurant that seeks to differentiate itself from other restaurants with the authentic flavor of Honduras. Some of the menu items include pollo con tajadas, pastelitos con carne molida, enchiladas, baleadas, carne frita and more.

Bonbon's Tacos is now serving food at The Spot Bar & Lounge in the Village of East Davenport. Bonbon's has taken over the kitchen at The Spot full-time located at 1113 Mound St. in Davenport.
Bonbon's Tacos also is located at 1218 Brady St. in Davenport and out and about with their food truck.

The ice cream shop, N7 Nitrogen Ice Cream, reopened June 12 in Bettendorf. N7 Nitrogen Ice Cream is located at 5039 Competition Drive in Bettendorf near the TBK Bett Plex. N7 Nitrogen Ice Cream creates freshest and creamiest ice cream by flash-freezing your selected ingredients while you wait.

Smith's Custom Meats & General Store, Aledo, opens new location
The Smith's Custom Meats & General Store new location is at 303 Southwest 3rd St. in Aledo.
Smith's Custom Meats & Deer Processing, Inc. is set to open their new store on Monday, June 30. The store is located at 303 Southwest 3rd St. in Aledo, formerly Casey's General Store. The Smith's Custom Meats & General Store moved from its current located at 108 N. College Ave. in downtown Aledo which opened in August 2024.
With the new location there will be lots of new products such as grab and grill steaks, meatloaf (three flavors), seafood (salmon, smoked salmon, shrimp, North Atlantic cod), frozen fruit, frozen vegetables, potato salad, macaroni salad, jam and jellies, local Miller Bee Kind farm fresh eggs, local Blue Barn Farm honey, hamburger and hot dog buns.

Founders Scott and Susan Smith opened the business in 2008 after converting their three-car garage into a wild game processing facility. They outgrew it in five years, moving in 2013 to their current location, 2494 85th Ave., Viola.
The Smith's became a Type 1 processing plant in April 2022: fully inspected by the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Smith's Custom Meats & Deer Processing, Inc. process 450 beef and 550 to 600 hogs yearly. They will process boneless deer during hunting season.
