Corazon Latino Restaurant Bar opens in Moline

There is a new restaurant in Moline offering a culinary experience inspired by Latin American flavors from Mexico, Central America and South America. Corazon Latino Restaurant and Bar officially opened on Monday, Dec. 1, in downtown Moline at 1514 Fifth Ave., formerly the CAFE FRESH location. 

The restaurant's menu and cocktails are based on different regions, with a variety of lunch, dinner and cocktails selections. The menu also has gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan items. Click here to view menu. 

The restaurant and bar has artwork throughout and is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, closed on Sunday. Al's Burgers opens in Moline

Al's Burgers has opened their second location in Moline. The popular burger joint held a soft opening on Friday, Nov. 29, and officially opened their doors on Sunday, Nov. 30, in the former Quad City Pizza Company building at 2724 Avenue of the Cities in Moline. 

The burger joint had expanded their menu for breakfast from 6 a.m.-11 a.m. at the new Moline location with an affordable menu. What started out to be Al's Burgers & Breakfast quickly changed after they opened their doors. Al's Burgers announced on their Facebook page on Tuesday, Dec. 2, that they were ending breakfast service at the Moline location.

"To keep our quality, consistency, and service at the absolute best level for every guest who walks through our doors, we’ve made the decision to eliminate breakfast at the Moline location immediately," the post read. "This allows our team to stay focused, stay consistent, and deliver the food and experience you expect from AL’s every single time. And we won’t compromise that for anything."

The Moline location's hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

Authentix Bettendorf ribbon cutting

Authentix Bettendorf will hold a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 3:30 p.m. This new multifamily apartment community is located at 7118 International Drive in Bettendorf, offering studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom homes.
