The Quad-Cities has a new Mexican restaurant. La Fuente Mexican Restaurant opened Dec. 3 at 4400 Avenue of the Cities in Moline. The location was formerly Avenue Family Restaurant, and previously the Great Indian Restaurant.Â
Pictured is the birria pizza made with thick flour tortilla topped with beef birria, cheese, onion and cilantro. Accompanied by broth to dip the pizza.
La Fuente has a large variety on their menu, including enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, seafood, taco dinners, combos, fajitas and a children's menu. Lunch is served from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. daily. Click here to view menu.Â

STATE 18, new bar with golf simulator, opens in Bettendorf

Golf fans will be able to practice their swings and enjoy a drink at the new State 18 in Bettendorf. The new bar features a golf simulator, spacious seasonal patio, food, specialty cocktails, draft beer and a full bar.
State 18 made its debut on Dec. 6 and is located at 1740 State St. in Bettendorf. The new bar also features two dart boards, golden tee machine, two gaming machines and big screens.

El Mariachi Restaurante closed for the holidays
El Mariachi Restaurante announced on its Facebook page that it will be closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 5. The family-owned Mexican restaurant is located at 1317 15th St. in Moline. Operation hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday, closed Monday.
The restaurant features an authentic Mexican buffet from 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. serving authentic Mexican on Saturdays, 10 a.m-2 p.m. serving brunch on Sundays and from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday-Friday has an authentic taco bar.Â
