Rock Island Brewing Company (RIBCO) reopens
Rock Island Brewing Company, commonly known as RIBCO, reopened this month after being closed for nearly two years in the heart of downtown Rock Island.
Zach Edwards, who grew up in Rock Island, purchased RIBCO back in August. RIBCO made its new debut on Friday, Dec. 19, and Saturday, Dec. 20, with a lineup of bands, and again plans to offer live music, food and an unforgettable atmosphere.

RIBCO's hours are dependent on live shows and dinner hours for now. Currently they are open Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. They will be open on New Year's Eve for a live band from 4 p.m.-2.a.m. Days open will be increased after the holidays.

Terry Tilka, who previously owned Rock Island Brewing Company, or RIBCO, retired after almost 50 years in the bar industry. The legendary live music venue and bar in Rock Island opened in 1979 and the last day of service was Dec. 17, 2023. Â

The door to Hardee's has a sign to thank loyal patrons and guests and to please visit their other Quad-Cities locations.Â
