Five Below officially opened its newest store on Friday, Oct. 31, in Moline. The new store is located in the River Place Center, located at 750 42nd Ave. Drive.
Five Below is a leading high-growth value retailer offering trend-right, high-quality products loved by tweens, teens and beyond. Most items are priced between $1 and $5 and some extreme value items are priced beyond $5 at the River Place Center Store. Five Below offers customers to shop everything from candy and snacks, beauty and style, toys and games, tech, home décor and much more.
The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. Moline’s Five Below business phone number is 309-249-5382.

Anna Mae’s Swedish Bakery & Cafe has officially opened its new dining area on Monday, Oct. 27.
The bakery and cafe are located at 503 10th Ave. W in Milan, formerly Bowlyou’s Ice Cream and Grill. Anna Mae’s Swedish Bakery & Cafe opened on Sept. 16 with only a drive-thru available while undergoing construction in their dining area.
The new dining area seats up to 18 guests. The bakery and cafe is a fast-casual spot with counter service, and serving everything on disposable dishes for your convenience. The bakery also has seasonal outdoor seating.

Igor’s Bistro food trailer transitioning to winter
Igor's Bistro food trailer is located in the parking lot at Lifted Energy located at 2430 16th St. in Moline.
Igor’s Bistro food trailer announced they are transitioning for the winter on their Facebook page.
“This week we are transitioning for winter. Walking up to the trailer will not be an option, you will have to call in your order at 309-948-3469 and payment for your order will be done over the phone,” the post read.
“You will drive up to Lifted Energy drive thru window and we will hand you out your order. You will not be able to order Igor’s food at Lifted nor pay at Lifted for your food order. We will no longer be open at night — hoping to do a few more events. Please be patient as we transition into this as it’s all new for us. Thanks for all your support!”
Igor’s is set up regularly in the parking lot at Lifted Energy at 2430 16th St. in Moline. The food trailer opened in July of this year.

Brasero Cocina & Cantina to hold grand opening
Muscatine’s newest Mexican restaurant, Brasero Cocina & Cantina, will hold a grand opening on Monday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m.

La Flama Restaurant new hours
La Flama Restaurant is located at 2107 Fourth Ave. in Rock Island. The Mexican restaurant announced new hours and they are now open from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday. Closed on Mondays.
La Flama Restaurant announced they will have new hours starting Tuesday, Nov. 4. The Mexican restaurant’s new hours are 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday. Closed on Mondays. La Flama was only open till 2:30 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday. La Flama customers are now able to enjoy dinner on Thursdays through Saturdays.

La Flama opened at it’s current location on Dec. 2, 2024. La Flama closed its Davenport location in October in 2024.
Morgan Stanly Wealth Management to break ground
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management will hold a groundbreaking on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 3:30 p.m. Their new location will be at 4515 E. 52nd St. in Davenport (52nd St. and Lakewood Parkway, by Panda Express).
They are growing and have been working with Russell over the last several months and are excited to officially break ground on their new location.
